Roj is a passionate jewelry maker who has been creating unique pieces for quite some time. Recently, she decided to share her beautiful creations with the world, combining her art with a meaningful mission. Part of the profits from her jewelry will go toward projects aimed at preserving her mother tongue, Kirmanckî/Zazakî, which is sadly classified as an endangered language by UNESCO.
As the number of Kirmanckî speakers continues to decline with each generation, Roj is deeply committed to taking action to ensure the language’s survival and to celebrate its rich cultural heritage. Her goal is to invest in one preservation project each year, making every purchase from her collection a contribution to the protection of an indigenous language.
Wes û war be! Thank you!
Moin, hello, selam, مرحباً – I'm Kaya Peters (he/him), a multimedia artist, sound designer, and urbanist based in Berlin.
My work explores the intersections of sound, space, and storytelling, with a focus on memory cultures, postmigrant society, and social movements. Combining critical urbanist perspectives with experimental media techniques, I create immersive experiences that reflect the complexities of identity and collective memory.
I hold master’s degrees in Urbanism (M.Sc.) and Media Art and Design (M.F.A.) from Bauhaus University Weimar. Through my transdisciplinary approach, I aim to spark conversations about belonging, resilience, and transformation in contemporary urban life.
