A City (Bir Şehir)

In this poetic short documentary shots are tied around the poem Bir Şehir from Nâzım Hikmet, which he wrote on the 7^{th of} September of 1961, two years before his death. The documentary follows my research process on finding the traces of Nâzım’s and other people’s work during the time of Bizim Radyo, a secret radio station that was run by the Communist Party of Turkey, who operated most of it's time from. The radio existed between 1958 and 1989 and had its studio in Leipzig, GDR.
