„Yaramaz“ is a Turkish word; translated literally, it means something like „good-for-nothing.“ The term is often used towards small children when they are being cheeky and rebellious. Güner Künier named her second album „Yaramaz“ to tell her own coming-of-age story through the means of punk and post-punk.
Güner Künier was born in Izmir, Turkey, in 1990 and moved at the age of three with her family to Flensburg, where she also grew up. As a teenager she played in her first bands. After completing her studies in industrial engineering in Berlin she devoted herself entirely to art and worked as an actress and musician.
„Yaramaz“ will released on Flirt 99 on 21st March 2025.
Moin, hello, selam, مرحباً – I'm Kaya Peters (he/him), a multimedia artist, sound designer, and urbanist based in Berlin.
My work explores the intersections of sound, space, and storytelling, with a focus on memory cultures, postmigrant society, and social movements. Combining critical urbanist perspectives with experimental media techniques, I create immersive experiences that reflect the complexities of identity and collective memory.
I hold master’s degrees in Urbanism (M.Sc.) and Media Art and Design (M.F.A.) from Bauhaus University Weimar. Through my transdisciplinary approach, I aim to spark conversations about belonging, resilience, and transformation in contemporary urban life.
