Commemoration of Semra Ertan

A contribution of the Initiative Postmigrantisches Radio. In this contribution we remembered Semra Ertan in an experimental and artistic way. Semra Ertan was a Turkish migrant worker, draftswoman and poet. She moved to her parents in the Federal Republic of Germany in 1972, where she burned herself to death in Hamburg in 1982 to make a statement against racism. The Initiative Postmigrantisches Radio remembers and engages with those voices that come from the margins of society.
