Altın Ejderha
A play by the theatre group Tiyatro Yedi.
The play is set in the Chinese-Thai-Vietnamese restaurant Golden Dragon, located on the ground floor of a four-story apartment building. In the kitchen, Far Eastern chefs cook non-stop, orders are prepared, pots bubble. The youngest employee among them is working here illegally and has unbearable toothache. While the young worker writhes in pain, we witness the stories of the residents of the apartment building, who all lead completely different lives.
In this apartment building, everyone expects something different from life, everyone wants to be someone else, and meanwhile, everyone continues to eat at the Golden Dragon.
The Golden Dragon, an impressive narrative about migration, belonging, greed, globalization, and the fragility of human relationships, tells the story of a vast world within the confines of a single apartment building.
